The role

 

We’re looking for an Engineering Stores Administrator to join our Logistics team!

You’ll support the Team leaders in achieving business and department goals/objectives by making sure all necessary stock is ordered and accounted for. You’ll also make sure the stores area is clean and orderly and you’ll assist in administration and maintaining the PPM and stores databases.

 

What will you do as an Engineering Stores Administrator at N Brown?

  • You’ll carry out the daily duties of stores / administration, check stock levels and re-order where needed, the parts that have been used according to minimum stock levels.
  • You’ll ensure the stores areas are clean and tidy.
  • You’ll carry out stock checks and input the data to the PPM stock control system including all Engineers reports and Job completion sheets by Contractors on site.
  • You’ll place orders for stock via the ordering database.
  • You’ll collect all delivery’s that have been ordered and track any orders that have been delivered to the incorrect dept, or delayed.
  • You’ll send faulty damaged parts that can be repaired to the relevant engineers or company’s for quote to be repaired.
  • You’ll negotiate prices and delivery with suppliers and their representatives.

 

What skills and experience will you have?

  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
  • Basic engineering knowledge
  • Experience in a similar Engineering stores roles, or in related roles such as warehousing, logistics, procurement or buying.
  • Able to follow financial and procurement processes with a high level of integrity.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated and willing to take on a challenge.
  • Excellent communicator and personable; able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships and engage suppliers and contractors.
