We’re looking for a Senior Test Analyst to our engineering team here at N Brown Group!
What will you do as a Senior Test Analyst at N Brown?
- Design, specify and execute system and acceptance testing in line with test specifications, using agile development methods and tools, promoting an optimum level of automation.
- Engage with stakeholders for test specification and to communicate test results.
- Design, develop and maintain test automation scripts using agile developments methods, ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Design test cases under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording, and reporting test outcomes.
- Participates in requirement, design, and specification reviews, and uses this information to design test plans and test conditions.
- Applies agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing. Supports and assist with the automation testing tasks and building test coverage through existing or new infrastructure.
- Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues, and risks.
What skills and experience will you have?
- Demonstrable experience of working with agile methodologies and working with multiple test streams within a portfolio/set of releases, showing how they can multitask.
- Proven ability to define, input to and understand test strategies and approaches as they relate to testing activities in the life cycle.
- Excellent understanding of the testing lifecycle, phase testing objectives, entry/exit acceptance criteria, Risk-based approaches to testing cycle definition.
- Experience of Jira, Zephyr, Charles Proxy and other test tools.
- Experience of Automation would be desirable, ideally using cypress or selenium.
- Selects appropriate testing approach, including manual and automated testing.
- Develops and executes test plans and test cases. Implements scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
- Collaborates across parties involved in product, systems or service design and development to enable comprehensive test coverage. Identifies improvements in requirements, design, or specification processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.
- Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues, and risks, including the work of others.
- Experience of monitoring tools, including Grafana, Kibana

Ways of Working
We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!
Our working hours are 36.17 per week and our core working hours are between 10am - 4pm. Given we don’t have strict working hours you can find the working pattern that’s right for you.
