The role
We’re looking for a Head of Trade to join our Retail Team
N Brown and has seen exceptional growth online, becoming a true leader in its market. As Head of Trade, you will lead your Brand/s with the continuation of growth, driving the commercial performance of the brand and ensuring we deliver the best possible customer experience throughout their journey.
You have proven leadership skills business leader, able to inspire, motivate and develop your team, whilst knowing how to influence decision making within the broader business.
You will have strong Commercial drive and acumen, and a customer-first attitude, with experience in a digitally led retail environment, preferably fashion retail. You Understand and champion the customer, with a strong opinion to shape and drive the forward strategy. Experienced in leading commercial marketing and ecommerce teams, with a clear result focus, excited by change and innovation.
What will you do as a Head of Trade at N Brown?
- Lead, develop and coach the Trading Team, and be part of the NBrown Trading leadership team.
- To drive online and app sales for your Brand/s to deliver against commercial plans and forecasts.
- Driving the day to day trading of the brand to achieve the overall commercial targets
- Definition and execution of the trading plan e.g., new season launches, promotional activity etc.
- Working cross functionally across teams including product, marketing, online merchandising to develop the optimal customer proposition
- Identify opportunities for improvement in performance and ROI and key ecommerce metrics.
- Reacting to trends and external events impacting, or likely to impact, Trade (PEST) (political, economic, socio-cultural, and technological) e.g., adverse weather, pandemic etc.
- Understanding and driving customer behaviour to deliver the best customer journey/experience and drive improvement across key ecommerce metrics
- Work cross functionally with technology, data, UX and CRO teams to build our g the best customer experience possible
- Execute the promotion of credit offerings in line with regulations.
- Inform and contribute to brand and marketing strategies, business plans, forecasts and budget allocation.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder networks across multiple business areas.
What skills and experience will you have?
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or extensive relevant work experience.
- Specialist knowledge of Ecommerce, and experience within adjacent areas e.g. online merchandising, performance media desirable
- Strong awareness of business structure and strategy.
- Ecommerce experience within a fashion retailer preferred

Ways of Working
We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!
Our full-time working hours are 36.17 per week over 5-days. We don’t have strict working hours therefore there is some flexibility around start and finish times as long as you are meeting the needs of the business.
