We’re looking for a Data Product Manager to join our team here at N Brown Group!

What will you do as a Data Product Manager?

  • Play a key role in the development of the strategic data roadmap
  • Act as a data evangelist within the organisation, by building relationships across the business with stakeholders and SMEs, demonstrating what data can do
  • Balance the strategy, governance, and implementation of data initiatives
  • Be responsible for prioritising initiatives, always ensuring clear communication
  • Translate requirements of large data initiatives into smaller, actionable workstreams that deliver value
  • Collate requirements and translate into user stories to deliver iteratively with an emphasis on goals, product vison and value realisation
  • Be responsible for a backlog that delivers value against the product roadmap
  • Ensure that data is a primary consideration in all initiatives, representing data in the design and implementation of new projects
  • Handle conflicting priorities and Identify and remove impediments faced by the team by working with the wider Product team and other stakeholders and proactively flag off any risks/ delays in the commitments
  • Monitor competitor activity and overseas market trends
  • Regularly present to the business through show & tells, weekly roadmap sessions and quarterly business review on your product with a focus on value delivered
  • Collaborate with Lead Product Manager to understand future demand and direction of your product and strategy

What experience will you have?

  • Have experience of building roadmaps that display value against strategy
  • Strong prioritisation skills
  • Have proven success of managing a complex product that led to the delivery of significant value to your stakeholders
  • Be Customer and Problem focused
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Be passionate about data and its ability to transform businesses
  • Have the ability to articulate complex technical approaches to non-technical audiences
  • Have knowledge of software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)

Ways of Working

We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!

Our working hours are 36.17 per week and our core working hours are between 10am - 4pm. Given we don’t have strict working hours you can find the working pattern that’s right for you.
