The role
We’re looking for an Commercial Finance Manager- Financial Services to join our Finance team.

This role reports into the Head of Finance (Financial Services) to support the build out of new forecast models as we move onto FSP as well as redeveloping existing financial models including brand and customer analysis.
What will you do as an Commercial Finance Manager- Financial Services at N Brown?
* Forecast Models
* Scope out the data and assumption requirements for customers on the new FSP.
* Build out new suite of forecast models for new credit customers including both the P&L and balance sheet.
* Build out new forecast models for the existing customer base and impacts on balance sheet behaviour on migration to the new FSP.
* Provide data and MI support to understand the performance of the debtor book including on collections and expected credit losses.
* Enhance existing financial models including building out brand level and risk-based profitability models
* Collaborate with other departments to gather data and input assumptions for financial models.
* Ad hoc analysis and provision of financial advice as required to support Finance Team, decision-making and monitoring of financial performance.
What skills and experience will you have?
* Experience in financial modelling including advanced Excel
* Financial Services experience preferred
* SQL and Teradata (or other equivalent) experience would be advantageous
* Numerical or business degree preference
* Qualified accountant preferred but not essential
* Highly analytical with strong numerical and technical skills and eye for detail.
* Review and manipulate large datasets and translate these into meaningful insights.
* Naturally inquisitive with a desire to understand, learn, develop and share knowledge
* Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
* Experience of data languages (SQL) and Teradata is desirable
* Experience of Oracle Cloud Financial Systems and TM1 is desirable but not essential

Ways of Working
We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!
Our working hours are 36.17 per week and our core working hours are between 10am - 4pm. Given we don’t have strict working hours you can find the working pattern that’s right for you.
